Building community through art
Solace Studio started with me finding community through pottery. What began as something I did for myself became a way to connect with other people, and eventually, an idea for something bigger.
I wanted to create the kind of space I had found through clay. Somewhere making art feels communal, not intimidating. A place where people can gather around a table, laugh, learn, experiment, and leave with both something they made and a sense of connection.
Today, Solace Studio creates small-batch functional pottery, offers pottery classes in Lake Jackson, and brings hand-building experiences directly to groups through Clay Anywhere™. Based in Lake Jackson, Solace serves Brazoria County, the Texas Gulf Coast, and the Greater Houston area.
At its heart, Solace isn't just about pottery. It's about creating opportunities for people to make something with their hands, try something new, and connect with the people around them.
Giving back is part of that too. Solace regularly supports local organizations and community causes through donations, partnerships, scholarships, and other opportunities to use art to give back.
Art is the medium. Connection is the purpose.
