Building community through art
Solace Studio began as a personal creative practice. It was a way to slow down, work with clay, and reconnect with something steady and tangible.
What started at the pottery wheel grew into something more: the desire to create a space where making feels communal, not intimidating. A place where people can gather around a table, laugh, learn, experiment, and leave with both a piece of pottery and a sense of connection.
Based in Lake Jackson, Texas, Solace Studio serves Brazoria County, the Texas Gulf Coast, and the Greater Houston area. Today, I'm creating small batches of functional pottery while building toward community-centered pottery classes planned to begin by the end of 2026.
At its heart, Solace Studio isn't just about pottery. It's about creating opportunities for people to slow down, make something with their hands, and build community through art.
Giving back is an important part of the studio's mission. A portion of every Solace Studio purchase is set aside to support community organizations and causes that align with care, access, and collective well-being.
